There are many supplements which claim to boost testosterone, but it is important to know that a lot of these products are scams. There is no natural supplement which is going to give you the same results as TRT. That being said there are many natural supplements which can definitely boost testosterone levels somewhat significantly with no side affects.
Tongkat Ali
Tongkat ali is a herbal supplement that comes from the roots of the green shrub tree Eurycoma Longifolia, which is native to Southeast Asia. There are many health benefits that come from supplementing tongkat ali which stem from the various compounds found in the plant. It is often used to treat many different ailments, such as fevers, erectile dysfunction, and even bacterial infections. So what affects does tongkat ali have on testosterone? Tongkat ali helps regulate the amount of androgenic enzymes in the blood which helps the natural production of testosterone in the body. It also seems to antagonize the alpha subset of estrogen receptors and when estrogen binds to these receptors in the brain it usually suppresses testosterone production and tongkat ali can prevent this from happening. Tongkat ali can also increase the amount of dopamine you have in your central nervous system, this means that there's less prolactin released and more luteinizing released and subsequently more testosterone is released. I have been using this supplement for a few months now and the results I have gotten have been great! I have had a huge energy increase and much more drive. It has definitely made me more motivated which has helped with my performance in the gym.
Ashwagandha
Ashwagandha is an evergreen shrub in the Solanaceae or nightshade family that grows in India, the Middle East, and parts of Africa. Ashwagandha is tended to be classified as an adaptogen, this means that Ashwagandha allows the body to deal with the chemical and physical effects of stress. One of its most celebrated benefits is an apparent reduction in feelings of anxiety and a significant boost in mood. In fact Ashwagandha possesses the direct ability to reduce the stress hormone cortisol. What are its effects on testosterone? In a study conducted which involved men aged 40 to 70, participants given a supplement of ashwagandha extract showed an increase in testosterone by about 15 percent on average and an 18 percent increase in DHEA which is a hormone that helps produce other hormones like testosterone. Ashwagandha lowers the amount of cortisol levels in the blood and many studies suggest that decreasing levels of cortisol in the blood can increase levels of testosterone.
Fadogia Agrestis:
Fadogia agrestis is a shrub from Nigeria. The stem of the plant has been used to make medicine. Many people use Fadogia agrestis for athletic dysfunction and even erectile dysfunction. It is also used to treat malaria. What effects does it have on testosterone? Fadogia agrestis has been shown that it can increase testosterone by 600% in rats. In fact Fadogia agrestis actually mimics luteinizing hormone which is the hormone that comes out of the hypothalamus that stimulates the testes to make more testosterone. Not everyone will see the same results and we recommend getting your bloodwork done before taking and then get your bloodwork done 1 to 2 months into taking it to see if it works for you. One thing that is important to take into consideration about this supplement is that it may have some side affects, for example In a well known study on Fadogia agrestis involving rats the supplement caused adverse effects on the male rat testicular function. This is definitely something you should be aware of and that if why we recommend getting your bloodwork done and use correct dosages.
Are they actually worth it?
I can 100 percent recommend using natural supplements to boost testosterone! I have used ashwagandha and tongkat ali and I have had great results using both of them!
